How we save the most money on Amazon

Amazon is one of the greatest things to come to the web since google.  A place where you can buy almost anything, with multiple options and prices from the comfort of your couch.   

Many people use Amazon to buy basic household items, toilet paper etc.  For us, this service of Amazon isn’t really the best deal.  Typically we get better deals by shopping for toiletry items and household items at our local stores.  We aren’t name brand people, it really doesn’t matter to us.  This part of Amazon is typically name brand items.   

One of the best ways we save money on Amazon is by using our Amazon Credit Card.  We get a whopping 5% cash back on all our prime purchases, for things that we were planning on buying in the first place.  This is definitely the best credit card we have for purchasing items that you typically get at Walmart or the department store.  The way it works is you make your purchases with your card and the next month, the funds go toward your next purchases.  You can choose to save the funds or use them.  

The other great way to save money on Amazon is by watching for deals.  Amazon will every few months send out a deal to buy a 20 or 50 dollar gift card and get 5 or 10 dollars back.  If you are already going to spend 50 dollars on Amazon, why not get an extra free 10 dollars.  Watching for the small deals helps us get some free money.  We might not use it for 3 months, but it is there.
